Y hablando de legales, contaremos que Luciana Salazar se salió con la suya y logró sentencia favorable en el juicio que le iniciara al cinco estrellas Conrad de Punta del Este por “uso indebido de imagen”. La Cámara de Apelaciones del tribunal “B” confirmó la sentencia de primera instancia y fijó un monto de indemnización. Si bien la cifra, cerca de 20.000 dólares, no es gran cosa, lo cierto es que le dieron la razón en que no podía estar su imagen en un calendario hot sin su autorización. Un tiro para el lado de la justicia.

EL DEBUT DE LOS BEATLES

Un día como hoy y hace 50 años, cuatro jovenes de Liverpool debutaban en The Cavern. El nombre de esta banda: The Beatles. Después de tantos seguimos hablando de ellos y recordando su música que no pierde vigencia.
Este lugar fue el elegido para que estos músicos le dieran rienda suelta a su creatividad. De a poco, el público fue creciendo y lograron que toda la ciudad, primero y luego Londres hablaran de ellos. Todo cambió el 9 de noviembre de 1961 cuando Brian Epstein vió el show de los Beatles, en dicho lugar, y decidió llevarlos a la fama. A los pocos días ya estaban en contacto con Parlophone.
Otras bandas como The Hollies, The Rolling Stones, Queen, The Yardbirds, The Kinks, Elton John, The Who y John Lee Hooker actuaron sobre escenario hasta su cierre en 1973.
Una réplica del lugar se abrió a pocos metros. En1984 el futbolista del Liverpool Tommy Smith se hizo cargo del local y reconstruyó The Cavern usando los ladrillos originales del edificio. La crisis de los años posteriores volvió a poner en peligro el local que volvió a cerrar en 1989.
En 1991 dos vecinos de la ciudad lo volvieron a abrir. Miles de fanáticos y turistas lo visitan cuando visitan la ciudad beatle. En 1999 Paul McCartney actuó en The Cavern por última vez.
