SERGIO EDUARDO

Oscar Carrescia re-creates the Argentinean tango scene with Trio Buenos Aires (Leah Woods, violin; Elena Kapustina, cello; Michelle Lee, piano), the great bandoneon player Coco Trivisonne; singer Sergio Eduardo, accompanied by Octeto Boedo; and dancers Alison and Gabriel. Governor’s Arts Award recipient, founder and director of the Youth Camerata Orchestra, Oscar Carrescia, is a graduate of the Buenos Aires Conservatory of Music, where he studied composition and conducting with Maestro Theodore Fuchs. While attending the conservatory he became concertmaster of the national Radio Station Youth Symphony Orchestra. Since 1986 Mr. Carrescia has performed regularly at Winchester Cultural Center.since 1986 when he founded the Youth Camerata Orchesta.Along for the rhythmic journey are bandoneon player Coco Trivisonno, has accompanied and recorded with notable artists such as Herb Alphert, Stanley Clark, Placido Domingo, Alberto Cortez, Roberto Carlo, Armando Manzanero, Maurice Gainen, Huecco, Guillermo Bodarampe, Jacopierce, Miguel Mateos, Ana Gazzola, Carlos Cuevas, Valeria Linch, and many others. Nowadays, Coco plays with Forever Tango, an ensemble that enjoys great success in all United States, especially Broadway, Las Vegas, and Reno. It’s also very popular in Canada, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, England, Italy, Taiwan and China. Coco has performed the famous Bandoneón Concerts by Astor Piazzolla with the San Diego Symphony; Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Ankara, Turkey with Cem Duruoz ( Guitar) and Santa Barbara Symphony.Singer Sergio Eduardo was the winner of the Hollywood’s 4th Gardel Festival in 2005. He was born in Montevideo Uruguay and is a long time resident of Las Vegas. He has performed in every mayor hotel in town and at the first tango concert directed by Mr. Carrescia in 2005 at Winchester.Elena Kapustina graduated from the Belarus State Conservatory with a diploma as cellist, chamber music performer and pedagogue. She frecuently performs with many leading musicians in Germany and the U.S.A.Leah Marimo Woods began violin lessons at age five with Oscar Carrescia. She is a member of the Youth Camerata Orchestra and currently perfoms as concertmistress. Ms. Wood has performed several solo concerts and recitals.Michelle Lee started piano at age 5, two years latter she continued studing with Robert Buchel and remained studing for 11 year. She performs regularly throughout the city with the youth camerata Orcheta and Hederson City synphony. She studied violin with Oscar Carrescian and was a concert mistress with the Youth Camenrata Orchestra for three yeas.
Allison and Gabriel met in 1999 in Las Vegas while working at Mistere of Cirque du Soile where they began dancing in partnership. Later on they started Tango Silhouette School of dancing. They give private and group lessons. They perform in a wide variety of shows around the world.Concert-goers are advised to buy tickets early; this group’s last Winchester show sold out, and many were turned away.
