BREAST TOUCH,BY ORLANDO VICENTE,CUBA
THE POET WOMAN THAT RUN AWAY NAKED BY THE STREET
THE CUBAN POET THAT RUN NAKED BY THE STREET FOLOWED BY HER LOVER.
CARILDA OLIVER LABRA -6 July, 1992__ 29 August 2018.
She was a woman cuban poet, Matancera, who since young published her first poems. Passionate, sensual and without fuss, her verses reflect those corners of the soul and the female body that nobody dared to mention.
Beautiful, flirtatious and always in love, she said without hesitation that she could not live without a man by her side. Even at 90 years old, she still retained traces of her blond beauty and fleshy red lips like the rose of Christ.
Her poem "Me desordeno" is the one that made her famous throughout the Spanish-speaking world. She received multiple awards and tributes by Castro's institutions.
In literary circles, it is said that on an afternoon of her youth, she ran out naked and barefoot, running away from a man who was very passionate or who wanted more of her in his ardor. That was a scandal throughout the city of Matanzas and raised her to the rank of poet for those who did not know her verses, such as:
"I touch you with the tip of my breast even without being in love and I get disordered, I get disordered"
That verse is enough to magnify her as a major Cuban poet of the twentieth and twenty-first century.
She was a Castro to the core and she adored Che Guevara, but that does not take away the lyricism and erotic reverie of her poetry.
I'm valuing the poet in her and her many publications abroad. The Castro regime made her theirs and exhibited her throughout Cuba and abroad as they know how to do to the intellectuals who are faithful to them.
If she had gone into exile, she would not even be in an anthology of the best Cuban poets.
But the legend would remain. The same as she took refuge in any corner of the world.
